Beth Shalom v'Emeth Reform Temple or "B'ShERT" is a Reform Jewish congregation in the borough of Brooklyn, NY. B'ShERT is the product of several mergers, including Temple Beth Emeth (the original congregation on the site at the corner of Church Avenue and Marlborough Road, founded in 1911), Temple Beth Or of Brooklyn, Shaari Zedek, Progressive Temple of Avenue R, and Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom.
B'ShERT's senior rabbi since 2011 is Rabbi Heidi Hoover[1], and the associate rabbi and educator since 2019 is Rabbi Alexis Pinsky[2]. Former clergy include Rabbi William Kloner[3], Cantor Suzanne Bernstein[4], and Cantor Walter Davidson[5].
