My name is Mike Rodger and I am one of the owners of and work for INN or Investing News Network.
I have found that some Wikipedia articles include links to articles on INN. One day while I was looking around, I found a broken link from Wikipedia to another company's site. One of the people I work with had written an article that was a good replacement for the lost article, so I linked to it.
I made two other similar changes and then I was made aware of Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policy and other relevant Wikipedia pages. My first and third changes were appropriately undone by the person pointing out my conflict of interest.
Subsequently, I have undone my second change and have added a suggestion instead.
Going forward, if I find anything I feel could be improved, but where I have a conflict of interest, I will only make suggestions.
