Gebeya is an IT training academy that focuses on incubating and matching up talent to businesses across the globe. The company borrows the name Gebeya from Ethiopia's Amharic language an Ethiopian Semitic language. In Amharic, Gebeya means market. Since its inception in the spring of 2016, the company has grown steadily, and currently has branches in Ethiopia [1], Kenya [2], the United Kingdom [3], and the United States of America.

Matching up top talent to employers

Gebeya offers a platform to link up talent with potential employers. After training [4] and assessment, Gebeya [5] adds the talent an online workplace database from which potential employers can peruse and choose the most suitable candidates. Under the directorship of Hiruy Amanuel, an Ethiopian investor from Silicon Valley, the institute only does placements for top performers. Hiruy Amanuel is Gebeya's co-founder and director of incubation.

Businesses across the globe are bound to benefit the employer-employee matching platform because of it offers unique access to qualified individuals. Unlike sourcing for talent from employment agencies, employers seeking talent from the platform have the guarantee that they’re getting top performers because they have gone through training, theoretical and practical assessments before placement on the platform.
