  • Comment: This draft has quite a few problems. I'm declining for lack of notability, of which there is no evidence, this being the most fundamental problem.
    Referencing is also wholly inadequate: there is far too much unreferenced content, and some of the sources cited are user-generated and therefore not considered reliable (Substack, Medium, Wikipedia, as well as the subject's own website).

Life & Career

Camila Ignacia Sepulveda Troncoso “Mila” Troncoso (born November, 6th, 1991) is a Swiss-Chilean actress. Born in Santiago, Chile, and raised in Singapore.[1] She began playing Natalie on the Mediacorp television series Lion Moms (2019). She has most recently been in Stranger Eyes[2] by Siew Hua Yeo. The film premiered in the main competition section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, becoming the first Singaporean film to compete for the Golden Lion[3]

Troncoso’s breakout film role was on the 2023 horror film  Kiss from A Rose[4][5]. Winning various awards for ‘Best Lead Actress’ including Depth of Field International Film Festival, Pune Short Film Festival, Eastern Europe Film Festival, and nominated for Best Actress in Purgatory Film Festival and Kalakari Film Festival. She gained further accolades for her performance as Lorna in the 2024 romantic drama ‘Lorna, Atlas & Me’, receiving awards in the Eastern European Film Festival for Best Lead. Her other major roles are in SitComs ‘Living With An Expat’ (2023) and Drama WebSeries ‘The Billionaire CEO’s Runaway Wife’ (2024).

Early Life & Education

Camila Ignacia Sepulveda Troncoso was born into Swiss-Chilean family on November 6th, 1991, in Santiago, the capital of Chile. Although Troncoso’s parents have since retired, previously her mother, Carmen Troncoso, was a Kinesiologist who ran a clinic, and her father, Fernando, was a Pilot who flew since he joined the air force at 16 years old.

After the Chilean dictatorship of Pinochet, all industries were severely affected, and it took much time for jobs and the economy to recover. Despite the struggle, In 2002 during SARS, when Mila was 11 years old, the family moved to Singapore seeking a brighter future. Fernando, Mila’s father joined Singapore Airlines until his retirement. Unfortunately, her mother had given up good jobs and degrees, which were not transferable.

In Singapore, she briefly attended Canadian International School where she learnt English. Then proceeded to attend Overseas Family School. Where she continued to learn English, French, as well as polish her Spanish. For later education Mila attended Lasalle College of The Arts located in Singapore.

Career

2019–2022: Career beginnings and television work

At age 27 Mila decided to switch careers and chase her true passion of Acting. She enrolled into HCAC[6], and began auditioning soon after. On her first audition she landed an Oral-B commercial, quickly followed by a Mana Chips Commercial. She continued to book Gaming ads and Health & fitness ads. Her first television roles took place in 2019 when she joined the supporting cast of Lion moms 4. A few months later making appearances in television shows like KIN, Adulting and Sunny Side Up.

Eventhough narrative was Mila's main goal, she kept booking commercials. She quickly learnt life on set and began traveling for international commercials a few being with LEGO®[7][8] , Häagen-Dazs, Google, Pringles.

Mila found her love for immersive theatre once COVID regulations began to drop. Joining multiple productions with Universal Studios, Secret Theatre UK, and latest production Decode : Legacy by Method Productions SG.[9][10]

2022–2025: Transition to film

In 2022 she appeared in her first feature film Yennai Maatrum Kaahale. this was her first time stepping into the Vasantham channels and industry. It was greatly accepted by the community and the project itself bringing home 6 nominations and 4 wins[11]. Soon after Mila got her lead on horror film Kiss From A Rose, making appearances in films like Stranger Eyes and The Damned Ones. Since then shes been lead on Psychological Thriller I am Not Alone and Romantic Drama Lorna, Atlas and Me.

Since making a name for herself in the film industry, she's still storming through TV and WebSeries. Playing the lead role of Kate Kensington on SitCom Living With An Expat, and Sarah Tomlinson on the WebSeries The Billionaire's CEO Runaway Wife.
