My name is Minnastronomer (Minnesota Astronomer). I am an amateur astronomer from Minnesota. And if you're reading this, then please, sign the Guestbook!
In about 2012/3, I watched Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan for the first time. Since then, I've been a fan of Star Trek. This also managed to give me an interest in space. For Christmas of 2019, I received a telescope as a gift. However, I did not ever really use it. Until, in February 2023, I was taking a photography class. I attempted, unsuccessfully, to take photos through the telescope for the class. Despite my initial failure, I attempted again once the snow melted. My skills would improve with time. In the summer of 2025, I began collaborating with one of my friends, a member of the Minnesota Astronomical Society, and with the use of his technology and my knowledge we began to take quality astrophotos. For Christmas of 2025, I was gifted my own telescope, a Dwarf telescope.
In 2021, I created my first wikipedia account. However, most of my edits and creations were swiftly deleted because, honestly, I was pretty bad at it. I no longer have access to the account as it was (foolishly) created with a school email I have been without access to for a number of years now.
I created this account while I was doing research on NGC 6664, an object I had recently imaged. When I realized there was no wikipedia article on it, I made it myself. This was July of 2025. Since then I've created well over one hundred articles and have been active in WP:Minnesota and WP:Astronomy. I have another account, User:NewYears2026, which I use on another browser for reading wikipedia there. Mostly, edits with that account are fixing broken images, grammar errors, and sometimes adding something smaller.
