The 2019 season was Fluminense's 117th season as a club, and also their 18th consecutive season in the Brazilian top flight.[1] The season started on the 27th of April 2019 and ended on the 8th of December of the same year.
Season Summary
editFluminense finished 14th in the table in the Brazilian Série A[2]. In the Copa do Brasil, Fluminense was eliminated in the 5th round in a two-legged tie against Cruzeiro that was decided on penalties[3]. The team was eliminated from the 2020 Copa Sudamericana on the first round, due to a draw against Unión La Calera that was decided on the away goals rule.
