The Extreme Man Menorca is a triathlon race held in Fornells, in the island of Minorca, Spain. The distance to be covered is 1.9 km (1.2 miles), swim, 90 km (56 miles) bike and a 21.1 km (13.1 miles) run. This distance is known as Long Course; also commonly referred to as 70.3, the 'half-Ironman' or simply 'half'. In 2014 the 'short' distance was also included, covering 1 km (0.62 miles) swim, 40 km (25 miles) bike and a 8 km (5.0 miles) run.
Organization
editThe first edition was held on September 12, 2010 and in total 290 participants took part in it. From the third edition, the amount of participants has always exceeded 500 athletes.
