Club Salseando Chévere

Club Salseando Chévere is one of the few dance floors in Havana, Cuba. The idea behind Club Salseando Chévere is to keep the salsa in Cuba alive! While salsa is getting more and more popular through out the world it is a fact that nowadays it is very difficult, when you are in Cuba, to find places to dance and enjoy Salsa. The Cuban youth listen to Reggaeton a popular upbeat kind of music. While there are still people in Cuba that listen and dance to salsa, son and cha cha cha. Pedro Rodrigues Diaz, who had been working for a international salsa dance holiday organisation, was very disappointed that whenever salseros visited his beautiful country, they were not able to find a nice place to practise their salsa skills. Except for one or two places (Club 1830 and Hotel Florida). At Club Salseando Chévere you can listen to the most popular salsa music like: Los van van Manolito y su Trabuco Issac Delgado etc.

To make the club available for all people, even if they have never danced salsa before, the club also has “Danza Chévere”. Danza Chévere is a professional Dance Company directed by Pedro Rodriguez with the support and assistance of Helena Bernardo, the dance professor of víaDanza dance school in Stuttgart, Germany. They want to reach the perfect combination of the best skills from different nationalities. Every time you come to Club Salseando Chévere, you will have the exclusive opportunity to learn, practice and enjoy, this dance called “Salsa”, which is making the world shake. You will find out that this is more than just steps and turns. This is a unique experience that will make your heart beat faster.

The club is situated in the beautiful area of Vedado right next to Rio Almendares.
