Eterain/ the Eterine

It is a furry species that is completely open and public for everyone
Biology
-ALL members of the eterain species are completely carnivorous, but select species are omnivorous
-they have a large set of eyes that are sometime lower and closer together then other species
-the pupils are one solid color, any color, no iris and what is usually the white part of the eye is a dark-ish grey
-the horns that they have resemble a sharp rock or tree branches, strangely some have developed fake leaves on these horns, not antlers
-their body is covered in soft feathers in coloration to the environment they grew up in such as granite or birch bark, children don't develop patterns until they are about 10 summer cycles of our planetary orbit or 6 of their planets orbit
- their forearms and the entirety of both their legs are protected by an exoskeleton for certain species, mountain and subterranean species, but others have feathers that have fused together into something similar to an exoskeleton
-their tail is what sets them apart from most other advanced species, it very closely resembles roots, wires, rocks, vines, plants, sand, or shrubbery
- there are rumors of several crystalline tribes that are similar in appearance to high altitude eterain but with crystals instead of stone but those are surely stories... Right? (Yes this is permission to make crystal versions, I'm not stopping you)
Major Tribes
Sanctoro dessert tribe
-hailing in the sanctoro dessert they are the oldest tribe
-they have less need to drink as others, and a re good at Sprinting at high speeds in bursts, similar to that of a cheers, but they have little stamina due to never having much food or water until urbanization some few hundreds of years ago
-their painting are held in high regard within art museums and communities
Allons mountainous tribe
-they have longer claws that are curved for better climbing, they are also able to bend their bodies either and easier
-they have thicker fur and need less oxygen, but can't handle warm temperatures well, also they are not good at Sprinting rather they have great stamina and are better at climbing and Marathoning
-they have rock like horns that are extremely sharp but they can get heavy as they get old so they developed neck supports to help their elderly
Kazser birch woods tribe
- they are considered the generic enterine by other species
-they are known for having horn branches that look like shrubs or small trees that they take great care to fashion
-usually have feather patterns of birch and oak but sometimes other trees or even rocks now and again but not often
Nomenst swamp tribe
-these swamp dwelling folk are quite nice contrary to their appearance
-their face tend to take a skull like appearance more so then others and they have much larger eyes, longer tails, as well as webbed feet and hands, this leads to problems in holding stuff and running, though they have a much easier time then their jungle counterparts
-their younger are also long and very sticky and are used to catch and eat insects in the swamp as well as small critters
Jhal rain forest tribe
-these agile eterine catch and eat many birds and venomous snakes in the trees, they almost never leave the trees and it's saftey
-they have great climbing abilities, and are much faster then others, along with having shorter tails, but they have trouble walking or running on the ground as they almost never do so in the first place
-they have the most diverse color set of any species, taking up after favorite flowers as children
Gezatul cavern tribe
-many of these tribes people are experts and echolocation but have very poor eyesight, glasses in urban settlements help to correct it but the damage has been done
-one of the few omnivorous tribes as not much food can be found in there territories
- they have bigger paws then other tribes as it helps them in digging and breaking through rock and dirt when they need to expand
Urban life
-most who've stayed and were raised in the city display characteristics not seen in other species
-some have horns that look like antennas or lamp posts or similar
-their goals take that appearance of wire, pipes or even pillows for a few
- rich parent raise their child so that they look like gold and such but not many do as it is rather permanent and doesn't always work
-their feather pattern takes that of bricks or roads and such, even buildings in some aspects
In general they look like walking building in certain aspects or more technological, especially as of recent with an explosion of technology
Lore
Origins
They have seemed to evolved from a creature similar to our raptors, though these ancient beings were more similar to birds, reptiles were nearly instantly evolved into birds due to its benefits in the environment on ancient Raztourb
Then slowly they gained intelligence in a similar manner to us humans
Basic history
Their languages evolved and consisted more then holes, barks, tweets, and chirps, and soon came to include many other sounds, though they all sound relatively what we'd imagine a talking bird to sound, mixed with the rumbling of a large predator, somewhere between avian and reptilian
Recent
A nearly intergalactic species decided to incorporate the eterain into their societies and the space age of exploration, many fit in but as with any change there were groups that resisted, but they all died of old age by now, or at least the original resisters
Many settled on other planets and their children grew in forms similar to the flora, geography, and technology of where they lived
Names
Eterine are given their middle name by their parents, and one or both of their family names or profession as a last name.
they get their first name when they gain their coloration and their horns begin to grow, at age 10 in our years
This name is special to them and usually represents their looks, personality, and or something they like.
Take one of my OC's as an example, Nite- the last four letters of granite and it is a good representation of what he is designed after
others come up with a name that sounds pleasing to them, My other 2 OC's Buaf (b-wah-uh-feh) and Anre (Aw-n-ray) chose these names for how they sound, but Buaf is the first two letters of bush and last two letters of leaf, and given a new pronunciation
Creating your own Eterain or multiple eterine
Horns in the shape of branches, rocks, or something they were raised around is perfectly fine, yes toasters too, but it's kinda odd if you did, there horns don't actually function as what they look like unless modification is done to their horns
Their feather patter is also of what they were raised around, and it can be dyed so really any pattern is allowed but their natural colors are dependent on where they live
Their tails will not be normal, this is their main defining trait, their tails are resemblance of wires, roots, moss, boulders, vines, and other stuff, they don't resemble normal tails
They have semi segmented arms and legs, it doesn't flow smoothly between joints
They don't have outer ears, at all, just put a fake ears hat or something like our fake hair hats or something, they are reptilian in nature, with feathers, neither avian lore reptilian have outer ears
Babies are the same color as their eye color until they are about 10 in our years, 6 in theirs
They can have any pupil color, but their outer eyes are dark grey or black
Feel free to hybrid it with other species if you wish, as long as you have permission or are allowed to
