editHi, I just created a Wikipedia account and I'm trying out the new Visual Editor Interface. I work as a librarian at the Royal Institute of Technology Library in Stockholm. My main work consists of teaching and tutoring students in information literacy. As such I help them develop their skills in structured information searching, critical evaluation of sources and reference management.
I believe a great way to practice this set of skills is to edit and write on Wikipedia where you need to find, summarize and cite reliable sources. That is why I have recently thought a lot about arranging wiki-editathons instead of the more conventional library instruction. I participated in the Wikigap event hosted at the KTH Library in March 2019 and I also have a special interest in the Art + Feminism movement whose aim is to improving coverage of cis and transgender women, non-binary folks, feminism and the arts on Wikipedia[1].
