MJ@UCLA is currently earning a Ph.D in Los Angeles, California.
English is his primary language. He speaks Japanese at a near-native level of fluency.
His interests are mostly in the fields of biology (specifically genetics), Japanese culture, and Japanese history.
His concerns when contributing to Wikipedia are maintaining a strict WP:NPOV status and eliminating bias in WP articles.
He is attempting to expand the knowledge base for more specific subjects related to genetic research.
He has also noticed that recently a lot of Japanese on the Wiki is being mistranslated from kana into romaji, and is fixing that when he sees it!
