Biography of Muhammadjon Kabirov
Muhammadjon Kabirov was born in August 1983 in Faizabad district, Tajikistan. He is a well-known Tajik human rights defender and journalist. He is a President of the Board of Directors, Foundation for Intercultural Integration, and Chief Editor of AZDA TV Website (www.azda.tv), based in Warsaw, Poland.
Mr. Kabirov is currently an Adjunct Researcher at the Canadian-based Academic Club for Peace-Conflict Studies (ACPCS). https://academicpeace.ca/ourteam/
He has obtained M.A. in political science from the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow, Russia. Before this, he studied at Brooklyn College, New York, USA.
He has been working in the field of human rights for years and has acquired extensive knowledge in the field of international human rights monitoring and has vast knowledge on the situation of human rights in the Central Asian region and especially in Tajikistan.
When he returned from the USA in 2012, in a very short time he has become a well-known activist. He founded the Eurasian Dialogue Center, a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2014. He actively participated in dozens of international conferences and round-tables discussions across the world. Due to his activities, as well because he was the founder and Chief Editor of the Central Asian TV (CATV), the first independent TV channel in the region, he is wanted by the government of Tajikistan.

He is best known for his activities and interviews on the human rights situation in Central Asia, especially in Tajikistan. Mr. Kabirov has been working voluntarily with Freedom Now NGO based in Washington DC on the cases of Tajik Political Prisoners and contributed with the UN Human rights Committee on behalf of Tajik Political Prisoners.
He is now President of the Board of Directors of Foundation for Intercultural Integration, Chief Editor of AZDA TV channel and website, and Adjunct Researcher at the Canadian-based Academic Club for Peace-Conflict Studies (ACPCS). https://academicpeace.ca/ourteam. He is married and has 2 children.
