I'm an emergency services professional in Kingston, Washington with broad interests ranging from civic engagement and politics to music and gastronomy.
I've come to Wikipedia through my effort to complete a degree or two; participation in this on-line community is a requirement for one of my classes at the University of Washington. As is often the case in liberal arts education, the nudge of requirement has pushed me into learning about something I would have (except as an occasional tool) likely otherwise ignored.
Wikipedia's commitment to neutrality is especially interesting to me, and I look forward to learning more about the project and its supporting community.
