Mlearning is the Wikipedia identity of Leonard Low, an E-learning Designer at the University of Canberra, Australia.
Leonard is a full-time Educational Technology developer and consultant for a major Australian tertiary institution, and holds a degree in Computer Science from the Australian National University, as well as qualifications in teaching and management.
Leonard has been involved as a manager, developer, consultant, representative and researcher on a number of national Australian education projects, including Flexways, Toolbox Champions, ACT Representative on the E-Standards Experts Group, and as Lead Researcher for the Standards for M-Learning project. He is a published academic in the field of educational technology, and maintains a blog on Mobile Learning at http://mlearning.edublogs.org. He was winner of the CIT Staff Achievement Award in 2006, and the Best Paper Award at the Queensland University of Technology's Learning & Teaching conference in 2006.
Previous positions have included Educational Technology Strategist at the Canberra Institute of Technology, and Quality Manager and Project Manager for Catalyst Interactive Pty Ltd, and a senior developer position with Catalyst Interactive's special project team, developing a multi-million-dollar e-learning training package for the KBR/Australian Department of Defence, (the Tiger Armed Reconnaisance Helicopter).
Leonard brings ten years of experience as a student, developer, manager, and teacher using educational technologies - including expertise in E-learning, M-learning, Flexible Learning, and Virtual Learning Environments (Learning management systems).
