Richard Pfeffer, Ph.D., is the founder of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Institute at Florida State University[1] where he served as its Director for over two decades.
Research
editPfeffer's research interests include computer and laboratory modeling of weather and climate variability, hurricane dynamics and prediction, probabilistic quantitative preciptiation forecasting (PQPF), data assimilation, and studies of geostrophic turbulence.[2]
