- Phosphor is a first person shooter game that can be played from any modern internet browser with the help of Adobe Shockwave and a plug-in that allows the game to hold the mouse cursor in the middle of the game window while allowing the view of the game to be moved with the mouse (mostly used for aiming as it is a first person shooter). It was created by Rasterwerks with Adobe Director and is currently in its second beta.
The current build requires Adobe Shockwave 11.5.1 (build 601).
The game should take about 15 to 30 seconds to load on most computers. The additional plugin, baMoveCursor, is necessary for mouselook input. Controls are standard first-person shooter by default (WASD + mouse), except F switches to the next weapon. Click the SETTINGS button to customize controls and game difficulty.
You can resize the browser window (maximize, F11) to increase the game video resolution. Click the START button to begin. While in game, ESC will pause the game and release the mouse cursor.
Instructions:
Game controls: W, A, S, D to move, Space to jump, C to crouch, mouse to look/turn, mouse button to fire, right mouse button to zoom, F next weapon, G previous weapon, 2-5 select weapons, E - activate, Enter - talk, Back - score, ~ (tilde) - access "command console", Esc or P - pause.
