Suad Jawad is an Iraqi born Emirati writer and author.
As female writer from the United Arab Emirates, is a representative of those contemporary Arab female writers. With her strong female consciousness, keen female perspectives and unique female narrative, she discloses social issues facing the Gulf women, such as polygamy, arranged marriage, cyber love, domestic sexual assault, drug abuse, etc., as well as the misfortune and inequity induced by the shackles of religion and the oppression of male chauvinist traditions. She tries to arouse women's consciousness of liberation, draw the public's attention to women's issues and promote the equality, freedom and liberation of Arab women.
