Motivemagus is actually Steve Kelner, a personality psychologist with a Ph.D from Boston University, an Ed.M from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an AB in Psychology and Social Relations from Harvard College, and is a student and colleague of the late David McClelland. He is a management consultant working with top executives worldwide and an author of nonfiction and fiction, and a world authority on competencies assessment and development, particularly of business leaders. His dissertation was on interpersonal motivation, but he has since spent time studying all of the Three Social Motives identified by McClelland. He has also published a book on motivating writing and creative efforts.
