I am a beginner in the wiki world, and come to it as an educator - a secondary school History teacher.
I see great potential in giving young people a reason and an audience for their insights and research. A good example is the entry on Sons of Africa which begun as a question from a student. This led to research, which in turn led to them creating the wiki entry. This in turn has led to correspondence with one of the academics they referenced in the entry, and then with the Equiano society!
