Mpanga Forest

Mpanga forest found in western Uganda is the biggest in the region. In this forest, there are many and different indigenous trees. Of late, people came from different parts of the country and settled in part of this forest and destroyed a big part of it. they cut trees for timber and fuel. When the National Forest Authority realized that, the came through the local authorities and forced them out. Now the forest is coming back. The part of the forest,which had been badly affected was that in Kyenjojo District.
