Hafiz Abdul Ghafoor's (رحمته الله عليه) father's name was Muhammad Ji (رحمته الله عليه), who was a teacher of Ilm-e-Meras.
There are two traditions about his memorization of the Qur'an. 1. He memorized the Qur'an from Shakradara.
2. He memorized the Qur'an from his mother.
He read the basic books of shariah from Kamra and some books from his uncle Hafiz Jilani, who was a student of Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi.
He had a caliphate from three monasteries.
1. Swag Sharif (سواگ شریف)
2. Manki Sharif (مانکی شریف)
3. Golra Sharif( گولڑہ شریف)
Hafiz Abdul Ghafoor (رحمته الله عليه) played an important role in the spread of Quran teaching in Hazro, Attock, Punjab.
He spent his entire life in observance of the Shariah of Prophet Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه وسلم).
He had eight sons. All were Hafiz e Quran, Sufi, and scholars.
9 Jamadi Al-Sani (جمادى الثانى) 1976. He was buried with his father.
His Astana is still known as Darya-e-Rahmat Sharif. It's situated in Hazro, Attock, Punjab, Pakistan
