Last semester, I studied abroad in Europe. During my travels, I was fortunate enough to spend an evening in Athens during May of 2019. Despite the Acropolis being closed for the night upon my arrival, I was still able to get a reasonable distance close to the Parthenon and take in its beauty from afar. It was rewarding to complement that experience with our class trip to the Nashville Parthenon earlier in the semester. As one can see from the first two included photos, each Parthenon offers an sharply different experience--with the original Parthenon being destroyed but original and the Nashville Parthenon being complete but a replica. The third photo offers evidence of one of my obstructed views of the Parthenon.
