Ilona Anna Kowalik Urbaniak
Polish Canadian singer/songwriter and mathematician. Inspired by Socrates “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing", she has been known as a woman of Renaissance. Ilona obtained her PhD degree in Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, ON, Canada in 2015. Since 2018 she is an Assistant Professor at the Cracow University of Technology, Poland in the Tele-informatics Institute. Since August 2019 she has also been involved with the creation of artificial intelligence courses at a Polish National Scientific Institute NASK. Currently residing in Cracow Poland.
Music and mathematics have always been connected in her life. In May 2018 she released her first original album entitled "Handcrafted love", which had its premiere at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, ON, Canada. She has been actively performing in Poland and North America.
