Ocean Infinity is a private American seabed exploration company.[1] The company formally registered in Texas on July 2017.[2] It is currently committed to the ongoing search for wreckage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370,[3] partially funded by the Malaysian government under the condition the aircraft is found.[2] To assist with this effort, the company has chartered Seabed Constructor from Norwegian-based company Swire Seabed, owned by Swire Pacific Offshore, under a six year lease.[2]
As of April 2018, the company is also attempting to locate Endurance, the 1912-built ship used by Sir Ernest Shackleton in exploring the Antarctic,[4] funded by the Neatherlands-based Flotilla Foundation.[4]
