Yes, Myopic Bookworm is obviously a pseudonym. I appreciate the arguments for using real names in Wikipedia. However, I work in the reference publishing business, and have to avoid implying that my contributions carry the authority of a reference publisher. People who know me may be able to guess... (If someone really needs to know who I am, they can leave a note on my talk page, or contact me through my LibraryThing account (MyopicBookworm, no space), or email me (myopicbookworm) at googlemail.)

I'm just nibbling at the edges of the Wikipedia world, and will probably never have the time to do more, or to participate in the online community in a substantial way. But every little helps...

Managed to get some last-minute tidying into J. R. R. Tolkien before it came up as a featured article yesterday. 16 November 2006

Yay! Rush were the featured article this Tuesday (19 September 2006).

I must confess to getting a little disenchanted by the constant bickering on the Christianity page. Most of it seems to be based not in a genuine desire to present factual information in a relatively unbiased way, but rather in a desire to distort the consensus in the direction of minority or anti-Christian opinion. I'm not sure how long I will continue to contribute. (But it's almost as bad on the Buddhism page!) 18 May 2006
