Xiantian Village is the place where I was born and have been living.Just like everyone else,I have a deep affinity with my hometown.Even though it's small and maybe kinda desolate in some way,I love it heart and soul.As follows is a brief introduction of my hometown. Xiantian Village is located in Jiangning,Nanjing.(there is no need to introduce Nanjing—a metropolis and the capital of Jiangsu Province.Jiangning is an administrative district in the south of Nanjing.)This administrative village consists of three natural villages, namely Qianhang,Houhang and Suzhuang. My house is in the Houhang village, along side the main road, which stretches through the village. If you look at the village from high above, dozens of houses often with black roofs and gray or white walls will come into your sight.Supposing that the land is a big piece of cloth, then the balck-white houses, tracts of green trees and forests, several winding creeks and delicate lakes are all the fantastic draws by the nature and our villagers. In spring, what I most like to do is wandering around the fields, with spring winds softly grazing my cheeks. Although the village is far away from Nanjing, even Jiangning,it is still convenient for us to go there because of the decent public transport. We can take a bus or taxi or the metro to go downtown.Sometimes I reckon that how lucky I am to live in the country with convenient traffic while without uproar like in the big city. People here are plain farmers, workers, teachers and those old grandpas and grandmas. They are friendly and hospitable.Everyday it dawns, industrious people get up and start working just to earn their living.Everyday in the afternoon of the autumn or winter time, old people often sit togrther talking with each other about tiny things conerning their families and lives.People here konw their neighbours and almost everyone in the village no matter closely or not unlike people living in high buildings who know little about the opposite-door neighbours. Xiantian is just like every other village in China and I hope villages will exist on this land and never disappear.
