Dar Ganie Gund

Dar a small village of Sub District Tral. It has Tehsil of Aripal which has been established by the government of J&K recently.This small village is located around 11 kilometres away from subdistrict Tral. This small village has community of around hundred houses .It has a middle school which was at first the primary school, then has been upgraded in 2005 .The village is almost at the centre geographical place. It is surrounded by the villages of Aripal from South west, Jawaharpur Lam from North East, Sofie Gund from West North etc. This village has a Grand Mosque which is known as Jamia Masjid Dar Ganie Gund and there was a small Islamic missionary School known as Darul Uloom Lagmaniya, which has been graded recently now to small Darasgah which helps local and to some extent nearby village children to get Islamic basic teachings. This village can be reached from Srinagar by first taking a cab from the Srinagar city then coming to the Tral Sub District where you can change your vehicle and can reach to the Tahsil Aripal, the have to take a left turn at Aripal Tehsil, then we have to travel around one kilometre and you can reach this village. This village is famous for zoology lecturer namely Shams-ul-haq Tantray which has qualified KAS, and his brother is as well as an Arabic lecturer in Guraze presently . This village has no government health center but the health centre can be availed, which is located in the Tehsil Aripal which is around a kilometre from the village. This village is gifted with some fantastic mountains which are surrounding it and are giving some breezy scenes in summer season. There is a famous festival of the Asthan which is located at beside of it in the left side on the mountain which is known as Sheikh Sob, the festival of which is being celebrated almost every year in the of month February. This festival lasts for around three days and it is the celebrated with religious fervor and sectic harmony.
