Well, I'm not sure what is customary to include here, so I thought perhaps the least objectionable thing would be to list possible sources of bias from myself, since it serves a clear practical purpose.
- I would describe myself as a secular humanist, but I don't adhere to any specific prescribed belief or belong to any humanist organizations. Technically, I'm agnostic (i.e., I'm open to the philosophical possibility of a god or gods) but for all practical purposes I'm an atheist (i.e., I don't take that philosophical possibility of a god or gods very seriously even though it's theoretically possible) and can sometimes be a jerk about it.
- I'm a liberal and tend to focus my political attention on civil rights issues.
- I'm an American, and usually see things from a Western perspective.
I'm sure there are plenty more relevant things, but these are the most significant that come to mind at the moment.
