Narayan Srivastava

Narayan Srivastava (born 22nd September 2004) is an Indian climate change activist and public speaker from Lucknow, India. Born in the city of Prayagraj, in April 2023, Narayan became the first person from the state of Uttar Pradesh to receive the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship at the University of Toronto [1] where he is currently pursuing political science and public policy. In May 2023, Narayan secured an All India Rank 4 by scoring 99%[2] in the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations 2023 from City Montessori School Aliganj Branch where he was appointed as the Head Boy of the Senior Student Council from 2022-23. In April 2023, Narayan's first novel titled '7 Mountains' was launched at the Inaugural Ceremony of City Montessori School Model United Nations by Dr. Jagdish Gandhi and Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon where Narayan was also appointed as the Secretary-General of the conference. Narayan currently serves as the co-founder of The Bhoomi Initiative (founded August 15th, 2019) - a student run climate change and social welfare organisation operating from the city of Lucknow which has planted over 6,100 trees and impacted over 1,000 lives.[3] Narayan became a TED-Ed Speaker in 2021 and gave his talk on the power of manifestation and verbal communication. He has also spoken on various other platforms like Chief Justices of the World Conference and has been a guest speaker at international webinars on climate change and sustainability in collaboration with organisations like Green Hope Foundation, MUNImpact, etc. Narayan is also scheduled to give his first TEDx Talk at the University of Toronto this January which is going to take place at the Isabel Bader Theatre in Downtown, Toronto.
