Lead evaluation

Overall, the lead for this article is very good. It touches on the basics of the most important parts of DFT, including why it's important. However, a number of the sentences are run-on or poorly organized. This would be an easy area to work on. Another possible improvement would be to include citations to the claims made in the lead. There is a lot of good stuff, but citing papers or textbooks would help adhere to Wikipedia's policies.

Content

Very good overall. The article touches on everything you may need to know getting started with DFT. I might suggest beefing up the "Software" section at the very bottom by adding the names of specific software packages (with citations, of course).

Tone and Balance

Tone and balance evaluation

The tone is fine, but it could be more accessible to the novice.

Sources and References

There are a lot of places that are missing references.

Organization

The outline and flow are well done. Can't think of anything to improve there.

Images and Media

A lot of the concepts in DFT are abstract, but there are good figures that could help make it more accessible. For example, maybe you could add some figures of the most important conceptual components, like electron density, or the exchange-correlation interactions.

Great overall. Could be made even better by improving wording, refining sentence structure, adding figures, and making it more accessible to novices.
