Hayman Farm
The Hayman Farm is an all organic farm located in the Town of Winslow, Maine. The 225 acre "family farm" and is primarily a cattle farm, selling highly organic beef products to the local public. However, the owners and operators of the property also sell prints of watercolor paintings at local markets.
The farm land was purchased by current owners Don Eskelund and his partner Heidi Jacobs in 1981. Eskelund graduated from Northeastern College of Pharmacy in 1981[1]. He was employed developing, formulating, and testing poultry vaccines after graduation. Jacobs was responsible for the "test farm" in the facility where the vaccinations were tested.
Jacobs later worked as a veterinary assistant, and other various part time jobs before working where she does currently on The Hayman Farm along side Eskelund[2].
Hayman Farm grows all of their own vegetables, eggs, chicken, turkey, lamb, and beef. Beef has been our only commercial product so far. The farm employs the Rotational Grazing System. The farm primarily sells there product at the Waterville Farmers Market when it is in operation.
