§Nephos9 is a Wikipedian and an internet nom de plume of Boston-based artist, writer, actor, and educator Mark Victor Hänser. He was a rock journalist in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, and was the editor of the Long Beach Union, an alternative arts publication. In the early 90s, he wrote for the legendary, now-defunct Boston Phoenix. In the early 2000s, he was an editor, writer, and assistant content developer for an online textbook, Digital Learning Interactive, later iLrn [[1]]; Nephos9's writings and entries were varied, and mostly concerned his areas of expertise -- history, culture, and art. He holds a BA in History and English from California State University Long Beach, with a concentration in Medieval and Renaissance Studies; a BFA in Painting and Interrelated Media from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, with a minor in Art History; and an Ed.M from Harvard University in Arts in Education. He also holds a sobresaliente Certificate of Study in the Spanish language from Pontifical University of Salamanca. Nephos9 is a credentialed educator in the following subjects -- visual art, performing arts, history, social studies, and English -- and has taught for many years; the arts are his primary focus.
