House of Love (YouTube)
editHouse of Love is a show which is broadcast on YouTube. The show is about a homosexual man who is desperate to find a boyfriend but tends to fail with bizarre consequences. The main character in the show is Peter. The other main characters are Ian and Andy. The show is based in Peter's flat which is located in England. The show has been running since August 2008.
Characters
editPeter
editPeter Schmeichel is the main character in the show. He is a shy 44-year-old who just wants to run his own show but sadly for him, things never seem to work out. In Season 1, Peter interviews many contestants who auditioned for the part as his lover. After no luck in the first half of the season, he moved to the USA for a few weeks in hope of finding a boyfriend. He returned home with no lover. Towards the end of Season 1, Peter decided that he and Ian were meant to be together. In Season 2, Peter was beaten and raped by a drunken Ian in the majority of the episodes. As a result of this abuse, Peter spent about fifteen weeks in hospital due to him collapsing after being beaten, raped and seeing that everything in his flat was stolen by burglars. When Peter wakes up towards the end of Season 2, he realises that Ian has run off with Gary. Peter then suffered from depression. At the end of Season 2, The Barthez Brothers beat up Peter because Ian said he would pay them to do it. It has not yet been confirmed whether Peter survived the attack which left him not breathing.
Ian
editIan Rush was Peter's first lover. He is an 82-year-old man and is also an alcoholic. Ian was one of the contestants who auditioned to be Peter's boyfriend. He was rejected at first and came back several times but was still rejected. Towards the end of Season 1, Ian finally got the part as Peter's boyfriend after he decided that no-one else was suitable for the role. In Season 2 he started to drink heavily and was usually drunk as a result. This meant that in nearly every episode he either beat or raped Peter. He attended alcoholics anonymous once but never went back and kept drinking. He beat and raped Peter so much that he was in hospital for a long period. The Police then started to chase him and as a result he ditched Peter and ran off with Gary. He and Gary moved to Mexico at the start of Season 3 and are currently staying there until the 'Ian rape Peter' saga ends.
Andy
editAndy Cole is the presenter of the show. He is a 36-year-old man who has tried but failed to get work on television but had found his big break in presenting the House of Love. He has a mild case of tourettes as he tends to swear or curse out of turn. He befriends Peter in Season 1 and also grows fond of Ian but in Season 2, he turns on Ian after finding out what he done to his best friend Peter.
Gary
editGary Pallister is a strange 43-year-old man who has physical and mental problems. Gary first appeared in Season 1 but has only become a main character towards the end of Season 2 when he becomes Ian's new lover. Gary first auditioned to be Peter's lover but was rejected and like Ian, kept coming back only to be rejected again. In Season 1, when Peter travels to the USA, he goes to a gay bar only to find Gary there. This suggests that Gary is well traveled. At the end of Season 2, Ian ditches Peter and runs off with Gary. Gary is Ian's sidekick, and does whatever Ian tells him to do and is usually bullied by Ian. Gary and Ian are currently living in Mexico as of Season 3.
