My name is Brian, and I'm a communications professional living in New York. I previously worked for a political risk consulting firm called Eurasia Group, and in the past, most of my work on Wikipedia surrounded updates to pages associated with Eurasia Group; other users kindly educated me on Wikipedia's COI policies and that in the event of a COI, one should only suggest edits on a talk page. I also have edited unrelated pages in the event I stumble across misinformation or a topic on which I can shed light (eg, Randy Newman's "Little Criminals" or Bob Dylan's "Blood on the Tracks"), but mostly, I use Wikipedia as a grateful consumer. In my free time, I enjoy writing and recording music and writing freelance op-eds.
