Dona Amelia (also referred to as Donna Amelia born January 25, 1986) is a singer, actress and TV presenter from Indonesia (Malingping, Banten Province). Dona won singing competition Charlie's Angels [1] on SCTV, as well as having been an actress in two major movie series Muslimah on of the largest TV stations in Indonesia Indosiar and Si Mamat Anak Pasar Jangkrik[2] on MNC TV[3]). Dona is also a known as a TV presenter who was part of leading TV shows such as SILET[4], Dona is also well known for being the lead singer of one of the popular bands in Indonesia Stinky [5].
Early life
editDona was born in Malingping, Banten Province, Indonesia. Her mother, Hj Siti Nur Elis, is an entrepreneur who runs a cosmetic shop in Malingping and her father H. Drs Saepudin is a Head Master at SMAN 2 Cibeber Lebak Banten province. Both Dona's parents are muslim. Dona has a younger brother, Doni Renaldin. Dona's full name is Dona Amelia.
In 2003 Dona started her studies and graduated 2008 at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta). Her major was English language in education faculty.

editIn 2010 Dona was an actress in the movie Jadikan Aku Simpanan
Singing career
editAged 14, in 2000, Dona started to sing and performed live at events and weddings.
In 2007 she was signed by Blackboard (Pelangi Record) a record label in Indonesia, The album was Hip Hop Disco Aerobic and her artist name was Donna Ray. The album resulted in a two years tour all around Indonesia.
Dona’s next breakthrough came in 2010 when she became the winner of SCTV reality show Charlie's Angel[6] with the song Up to you by Trinity Optima Production[7], one of the leading singing TV show competitions in Indonesia.
In 2012 she became further know when she became the lead singer of Stinky, a popular Indonesian band. Their song Mungkinkah 2 is known by most Indonesians. Their music video on YouTube received more than 285,00 views so far.
In 2014 she got her new single Mujaer Mundur signed by Pelangi Record[8]. It was widely played in TV and also performed live all over Indonesia both on TV and at events.
