Nicolas Hosford is an American guitarist, music producer, and educator. He is known for his work as a guitarist with the band The Outer Vibe, as well as his contributions to various music projects as a producer and engineer.

Hosford began his musical journey by enrolling in music production courses at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) during his senior year of high school at Rockford High School in Michigan. He pursued his interest in classical guitar and received his Associate's degree in music from GRCC. During his time at GRCC, Hosford was awarded the Instrumental Music Award.

After completing his studies at GRCC, Hosford transferred to Eastern Michigan University (EMU) in Ypsilanti, MI, where he earned both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Classical Guitar Performance. He made history at EMU as the second guitarist to receive the Graduate Performance Award in Music.

Career

Hosford's career has been diverse, encompassing teaching, performing, and producing music. He taught classical guitar, audio engineering, and music business at GRCC for five years before focusing full-time on his music career.

As a guitarist, Hosford toured with The Outer Vibe, a band he co-founded, and signed a publishing deal with the band in 2016, relocating to Nashville, TN. He continued to write songs for the band while also working as a freelance music producer and engineer.

Nicolas Hosford was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He currently resides in Nashville, TN. He has demonstrated resilience in pursuing his musical career while managing health challenges, including primary immune deficiency, for which he underwent medical treatment from 1993 to 2022.
