Nigel Dibben is a retired chemical engineer with a lifelong interest in caving and abandoned mines. Increasingly, his interest has focused on the copper and lead mines at Alderley Edge in Cheshire, UK. He has co-rewritten a handbook on the Alderley Edge Mines [1] and also contributed to a major publication following the Alderley Edge Landscape Project.[2] He is currently Mine Manager and a committee member of the Derbyshire Caving Club.
