Calvin Brown, also known as Nivlaco can often be found watching and studying the Star Wars franchise. Outside of his love for the out of this world show he is usually found with his guitar and his girlfriend. He is working towards joining the National Guard and a firefighter. His goal and passion in life is to help others and make the world a better place to live in.

Calvin is excited to start researching and learning more about Star Wars presence here on Wikipedia. As a former member of the star wars fan club, he is excited to start fact checking Star Wars data here on Wikipedia He is known to going to Wikipedia to look up movie endings, cast members and so on. He is excited to see what new things he can learn and bring to Wikipedia.

Article Evaluation

I love Star Wars. Since I was a kid I have been watching and obsessing over the storylines and the pull between the dark and the light side of the force. When I was a kid my dad had a Star Wars Trading Card and I always thought it was interesting, so I thought to look it up. I visited the Star Wars Trading Card Game article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting: Citations, Voice and Structure.

Citations

When checking the citations, I found there was a dead link for card manipulation. I do not think this is a necessary term to define for this page, but since it is dead I wanted to note that. The first second book citation is missing the ISBN which was an easy search but I wanted to note that here. Aside from that the citations are from reliable sources, most of them coming from the exact website the cards are being uploaded to. As well they are up to date and most are within the last 5 years.

Voice

This article had a very neutral voice and tone to it. There is no ill intent to the first company for stopping making the cards and a savior complex to the independent company continuing on with making cards. Furthermore, there is no hierarchy of the light side of the force being better than the dark side, since you need both to fulfill the needs of the game. There were a few times where the voice of the writer was a little informal but it was direct language and matched the article since it is about a card game.

Structure

The structure of the article had a nice flow. The introduction and the table of when the cards were released was direct and informational. However, I feel like there could have been more explanations on how to play the game. Additionally, I think adding in pictures of the cards or links to google images of them, when they explained how to play them would be useful to the reader. Having the visual representation of the card would help explain the card far more easily than just a few words about it.

Summary

In Conclusion, I think this is a fairly well written article. The voice and tone are wonderful. I would add in the visual aspects as well as fixing the dead links and I think any card game player would benefit from this article. Taking what I have learned here I look forward to downloading the cards and playing this game with my family soon!
