Noeline Kyle is an Honorary Professor at the University of Sydney. I have an established reputation in the fields of history of education, community history, biography and women’s history. I have a special interest in the development of links between the processes of history in the community and the profession. I write and publish biography, autobiography, memoir, history and am highly skilled in background research and writing for non-fiction writing, historical writing and publishing. As part of my role at the University of Sydney I am writing biographies of eminent nursing professionals, who have made a major contribution to the profession and placing them onto Wikipedia. It is hoped to add to the number of interesting and distinguished women who have been either left out, ignored, dismissed and/or simply omitted from the canon. Writing the biographies of prominent nursing professionals adds to and complements my ongoing research covering women's 19th and early 20th century professions of teaching, nursing, midwifery, and social and child welfare (including women working in NSW prisons). I retired from University teaching in 2001 and have continued with my research as a professional historian publishing widely and teaching writing history in the community. My research continues see my website: [[ http://www.writingfamilyhistory.com.au]]
