I am engaged in researching infant mortality in the geographical area of Rheindahlen Germany. This was the HQ for BAOR (as it was known)The time slot I am looking at is in the 70s.What I lack is a start point for the stats.
As a young serving soldier I have experience of the death of a child whilst in Germany. On a recent visit to the military cemetary my wife (who is a senior nurse) remarked that the number of infant deaths seemed extremely high even for a garrision the size of Rheindahlen.
So this set me thinking 'just how high'and 'how does is it compare with other garrisions'
Any help will very gratefully recieved and aknowledged, confidentiality will be respected at all times.
Many thanks
