Amerivision Song Contest

The Amerivision Song Contest 1958 was the third edition of the annual Amerivision Song Contest, organised by the American Broadcasting Union (ABU) and host broadcaster CBC Television. The edition was hosted in the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, in Edmonton, Canada, as Canada earned the right to host this edition by winning the previous one.

For the first time in the contest history, a country abstained itself from the contest, that being Cuba, due to the complications caused by the Cuban Revolution, the country ended up not participating of the contest, only returning to it decades later. However, Chile debuted in this edition.
