Indexing user pages
editHello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you have modified your user page so as to be indexed by external search engines.
I have removed indexing of this page, because user space is "noindexed" by default.
Pages in user space are not a personal homepage. Their purpose is to help editors collaborate in building Wikipedia. If you believe that indexing of this page would serve such a purpose, please leave a note here and we can discuss it. You may continue to edit the page, but please do not restore indexing without discussion. Thank you.
This template may be added to the talk page of a user when we remove search engine indexing on their user page or a user subpage.
Usage
editBasic usage

Additional items
editTo give greater detail to your message, you may add the page name and/or some additional text to the end of the template.
references a user subpage instead of "your user page".{{subst:Noyster/sandbox/indexing template|Page}}
~~~~
adds a specific reason to remove indexing, in addition to the wording "user pages are noindexed by default".{{subst:Noyster/sandbox/indexing template|Additional text}}
If either item includes a URL or an equals sign ("="), you will need to prefix the item with a named template parameter. Use "1=" if the page name contains a URL or equals sign. Use "2=" if the additional text contains a URL or equals sign. Thus:
