eClerx Services Limited is a data analytics KPO based in Mumbai, India. It has operations in e-commerce and finance domains, and through its recent acquisition of Igentica Ltd., it has entered the travel and hospitality domains. Currently the founders own 73 per cent of the company, followed by Burwood Ventures, an investment firm, followed by Lehman Brothers and Dell which own 3 per cent each.[1]
History
editeClerx Services Limited (www.eClerx.com) was founded in March 2000 by P.D. Mundhra and Anjan Malik as an e-commerce support services venture. Starting with a single office in Mumbai, eClerx now has 4 office locations across Mumbai and one each in London and Austin, Texas.

editWith stringent application of Basel II on investment bank operations around the corner, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation was made a common clearing point for all derivative trading in the United States. One of the services eClerx offers is to help in migrating trades[2] from clients' legacy systems to the DTCC warehouse and also other closely linked services. This is aimed at mitigating clients' exposure to operational risks, in addition to effort savings.[3]
Currently eClerx assists nine of the Fed-14 banks (investment banks that have been chosen as market makers to the US Federal Reserve System).
eCommerce Services
editFor web based retailers, eClerx offers data mining services that help clients better price their goods to stay ahead of competitors. eClerx also offers market intelligence to help companies limit their exposure to (web based) grey markets and counterfeiting activities.
Travel and Hospitatiliy
editeClerx has recently aquired Reading, London based Igentica Limited, whose clients were primarily car rental and hospitality services companies.
Social Initiatives
editeClerx actively sponsors two CRY (Child Relief and You) projects with an impact on slum children in the red light districts of Kolkata (Diksha Project) and on health and girl-child education in 70 villages around Pune, India (Rachana Project).
