Omar Ian Ávalos Gallegos, born March 25, 1979 in Orange, California is a Mexican-American composer, performer, conductor and musicologist. He is an associate music instructor at Santa Ana College and a former principal musician for the Department of Dance at the University of California at Irvine. Omar studied musicology at Cal State Fullerton with musicologist John Koegel.[1]
