OG Buowy has set his music career to heal souls, bring joy, peace and enlightenment through Ambient Soul and Afro Pop music, this is best way to deliver or tell a story, expressing all kinds of emotions, and this is as musical as he can be. And might we add, that he believes that music has no barriers, music is a universal language, it is a 'common language'.

Born and raised in the dusty streets of Ndwedwe, north of Durban, OG Buowy grew up listening to old Kwaito music gained interest in music at the age of 12 and pursued Durban Kwaito Music during his high school years and dropped it as the sound of Gqom music invaded the scene of music, particularly in Durban. He rediscovered his love for music in 2019 when he started producing, and he did not only limit himself in producing one genre and grew through producing for artists in his circle, however, as an artist he mainstreams in Ambient Soul and Afro Pop music. He is currently in the process of completing his bachelor’s degree in Development Studies at the University of Johannesburg.

OG Buowy has since co-produced his multi genre EP ‘In The Barrel,’ which was released in early March of 2020 with collaborative tracks with Zar Don, Ashley and Gedeza. ‘Ngyosebena’ is OG Buowy’s latest single which features Gedeza whom has worked with in previous projects offering very soothing and melodic vocals, with deeper meaning in the lyrical context. And more music is yet to come from OG Buowy!
