Yes it's a terrible user name, but at the time I really didn't think I would be spending so much time on Wikipedia and didn't give it much thought. :-)

About Me

As the name implies, I am from Oklahoma. I live in Norman, OK and have lived here since 2005.

Education

I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Scientific Software Design. I also hold a Master of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma (which incidentally is what brought me to Norman).

I spend a lot of my spare time reading... everything from the news and current events to ancient classics such as the Canterbury Tales or Beowulf. I believe learning isn't so much about the degrees you have as it is a life-long ambition to pursue knowledge -- perhaps the fundamental reason that I want to help out Wikipedia in any way that I can.

In addition to ongoing education, I am a big fan of film. My favorite genres are science fiction, foreign film, and independent film.

I am an amateur astronomer. I am particularly found of deep space observation (e.g. galaxies, nebulas).

I am into saltwater aquariums and have a 90 gallon aquarium that has been up several years now. It is home to many species of fish, invertebrates, and coral including: a bannerfish, clownfish, a purple pseudo, yellow tang, sailfin tang, coral beauty angelfish, and others.

I am interested in history, especially Oklahoma history and World War II.

I enjoy photography in my spare time. I own a Canon Digital Rebel XSi DSLR camera and occasionally submit some of my works to Wikimedia Commons. You can see some of my contributions below.
