Trustive is a Wi-Fi internet access provider and hotspot aggregator, with a network of WiFi hotspots[1] in 65+ countries around the world. Trustive's coverage incorporates the Wi-Fi hotspots from 70+ international Wi-Fi hotspot operators such as Telefonica, Swisscom Mobile, KPN Hotspots and China Mobile.[2]
Trustive's guiding strategy is to offer high-speed yet low-cost Wi-Fi access via as many Wi-Fi enabled devices as possible at popular locations such as airports, hotels, bars & restaurants (etc). Trustive's service can be used from any Wi-Fi enabled device that has a web browser or, for seamless one-click access, customers may choose to download one of Trustive’s WISPr-compliant Wi-Fi clients (connection management tools) which are currently available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, Windows XP and Vista devices, MacBooks and the ASUS EeePC. Once connected, customers are free to carry out all their favourite activities, both personal and professional, (e-mailing, sharing multimedia information, video streaming, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Instant messaging etc.) as normal because there are no restrictive download quotas associated with any Trustive Wi-Fi pass.
Trustive is continually striving to improve its service offering, by developing important new features such as its Cisco based "Enhanced Wi-Fi Security" feature[3] (a VPN shield designed to protect customers web session information that was released in June 2009) as well as by expanding beyond its role as a traditional Wi-Fi hotspot aggregator and forming symbiotic partnerships with complementary service providers such as airlines, international SIM card providers, VoIP providers and travel loyalty programs.
Trustive's comprehensive Network Operations Center and its unique and highly versatile Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting (AAA) system enables it to more than fulfil the roaming and settlement functions for its aggregated Wi-Fi hotspot network and furthermore enables Trustive to get involved with and be at the forefront of innovative projects.
Trustive was created in 2003[4] and is owned by private investors. Its headquarters is located in London, United Kingdom, and it has an operations centre in Sophia Antipolis, France.
