Process Automation Platform (PAP) for Trucking is a category of technology software used to manage the operations, finances, and people of trucking businesses. Typical PAPs for trucking deliver automated workflows, smart data, and a financial component such as driver pay, factoring, or automatically invoicing, and automatically expensing. PAPs became the next generation of Transportation Management Systems (TMS). The main differentiator between a PAP and TMS is integrated finance and smart data so business owners and managers can make smarter operational and financial decisions.
