Olivier Michel is the CEO and founder of Cyberbotics Ltd. [1]
Cyberbotics is developing the famous Webots software for fast prototyping and simulation of mobile robots. Webots has been developed since 1996 and is now being used by over 500 universities and research centers worldwide.
In 1996, Olivier Michel received a PhD in Computer Science from the Nice University, France. During his PhD, he developed genetically evolving neural networks applied to autonomous mobile robots.
After his PhD, he worked as a postdoc researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne initially in Jean-Daniel Nicoud's lab where he started to develop Webots.
In 1998, he created Cyberbotics Ltd. to further develop and commercialize Webots. His main interests include:
