This article is about a Canadian rock band called Live On Arrival.
Live on Arrival is a Canadian based modern rock/alternative group from Winnipeg, Manitoba. They have electrified the Canadian modern music scene with catchy guitar licks, high energy performances and their desire to live for the moment and have no regrets. Although the band has achieved a lot in a short time, none of it came easy. A few years before the formation of Live on arrival, soon so be lead singer Robb Nash was the victim of a major car crash. When his body reached the hospital he was pronounced dead on arrival. Shortly after, friends and family were stunned to find that Robb had regained consciousness. For the next 6 weeks he was plagued by memory loss and extensive pain due to a major skull fracture. Thankfully, after months of physical rehabilitation, he was able to make a full recovery. Aside from some physical and emotional scars, Robb was also left with a new outlook on life. Over the next few years he surrounded himself with competent and capable musicians and began to pursue his lifelong passion for music. After successfully forming Live on Arrival, Robb and his band-mates started playing anywhere they could, and it paid off. After playing tons of local gigs, they were discovered by H2 entertainment and then signed by ROCKstar Records. For their first self-titled limited production album, the group recorded and wrote songs with the help of multi-million dollar production companies, SA Trackworks and Bananatoons. The mixing on the album was done by Grammy winner Orlando Calzada. Since the release of their first album the band has embarked on a tour which will cover some major venues in Canada. Live on Arrival has performed at various events including, “The Capitol Exhibition,” in Edmonton, Alberta where they opened for Finger Eleven and, "Rock The District," in Winnipeg where they played alongside the punk band Gob. Besides touring and recording, the members of Live on Arrival are also heavily involved in the MADD (Mothers against Drunk Driving) organization. The band is working on creating a video that depicts the consequences of drinking and driving, which they will show to children in schools across Canada. In addition, Robb Nash has signed on to be a major spokesman for the organization. Robb and his band mates have also just finished writing the new theme song for MADD Canada, entitled, “Another Second Chance.” The MADD tour will also include live performances of new material that is set to be released on the band’s upcoming album. The members of Live on Arrival are currently working on their newest CD which is set to release sometime in 2008/2009.
